Welcome to Home Center For Youth website!

This site was created 05/20/2008 by me, Terry D, an ex-camper from Hope Center. I created this website so if anyone out there did what I did, tyeped "hope center" in a web search engine like google they would have something to find. I was pretty disipointed wthen didn't find anything the firt time I tried so I created something. I created it for you.

I would like to extend a warm welcome to all of you former Hope Center For Youth Counselors & Campers and also to those of you that were involved with the Hope Center School in Houston, TX. This website is dedicated to all of you that had the good fortune to experience all that Hope Center For Youth had to offer us. Some of us had better experiences then others but we all made friends and grew from those experiences.

Whether your experience was as a counselor, teacher or camper from the boy's camp in Apple Springs, TX or the girl's camp out in Groverton, TX or at the Hope Center Four Youth School in Houston I'm glad that you took the time to search for and found this website. I hope it brings back some fond memories for you. I hope you enjoy it. Best wishes to all of you, Terry D.

Bare with me while I'm working on this website
Oh, and I hope you all have a verry Merry Christmas!

Notice: If this isn't your first time here then you probably noticed that this website has changed quite a bit. I decided to get rid of the old message board for several reasons.

First I didn't like the fact that it displayed peoples email address out in the public which, meant that spam bots could easily pick them up.

The second reason is that some people just may not want to be contacted.

The third reason was that the old message board was just plaing clunky and old fashond. You couldn't have descotions and the messages were just all over the place.

The forth reason was that it got spammed a lot. I was deleting 5 to 15 junk messages everyday and that was getting really old.

The fith reason is that I wanted to get a little better at using more modern techniques in my webpages. I have a bunch of websites and they all look amaturish. So, this websiet is my playground for testing new web stuff.

The old messages have been moved into the new discusstion fourm page (Here)

Below are a few links to pictures that formaer counsler and campers have sent if from their personal collecitons.
If you have any pictures that you would like to share then please contact me at terry@hopecenterforyouth.com.
